What is TempoStand?

TempoStand is a platform to promote independent musicians in India. It is starting its journey from Ahmedabad from 15th April, 2007. Every musician, every singer, every rocker, every tabla wadak is invited. We record your music for free (no hidden costs) and give a creative commons license. TempoStand’s objective is to promote you and take your music across the world.

Are you like rock people?

No we are Hindustani, Sufi, Fusion, Jazz, Carnatic, Folk, Rock and all other genres people.

What are the charges to enter TempoStand?

Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Its absolutely free (assuming you have talent for original music).

Does TempoStand help in marketing our music?

Yes it does. It even helps in selling music online. It also helps design your merchandise and sell it. What TempoStand does for you is entirely up to you.

Can people download/steal our music from TempoStand?

YES people can download music from TempoStand but NO people cannot steal your music. Your music will be licensed under Creative Commons Attribute-Share Alike license.

Under this license :
People can download your songs by paying for it.
Anybody who remixes your song, attributes the original song to you.
Anybody who remixes your song will produce his/her music under this same license.

Yes you can, but rest assured we are going to come to other places in the country very soon. So if Ahmedabad is close to where you live, be our guests.
