We have seen one enthralling week of voting at TempoStand and are thrilled by the wonderful response.A total of 4122 ‘valid’ votes were cast and there were visitors from over 500 cities of the world.To ensure that the voting is fair,successive votes from the same I.P. within a period of 5 minutes or less were discarded.For example if it was found that 2 votes in an interval of 3 minutes were recieved from an address 192.1.1.1 it was regarded as an unfair vote and hence discarded.A total of 1002 such unfair votes were found.
The competition might have its winners but its a mandate for creativity that has won hands down.Thank you for all those who voted and helped us make this event a huge success. We would like to congratulate all the young and talented musicians who dared to dream and came up with such exquisite music.But as they say ‘The Revolution has just Begun!’ :)
And so the winner is ‘WEHEM’. Congratulations WEHEM for winning the online competition at TempoStand.They get air tickets to participate in Thomso’07 and a direct entry into the finals of Battle of Bands -The Hindi Rock Competition at Thomso’07.
Also placed second and winning a direct entry into the finals of ‘Wargasm-The English Rock competition’ are Deinnovatives from Chandigarh. Congratulations guys!

hi every1…(to all my friends who are voting for their respective favourite bands and to all the bands/members…) as we all r in d middle of this “vote for your rockstar” pole…i jus thought of pouring sum thoughts…well whichever band may win this pole…we all know that it may or may not b the best band from the list given above…becuz we r simply voting here online…
so we(all d bands) must remember one thing dat we ain’t rivals…we r like a family….(this goes especially 4 the hindi rockbands in d list above…cuz i have personally know atleast one band member from almost all hindi rockbands above and we all r good friends of each other..)so what matters for us is…the band which wins this pole shud go n kick sum real ass at wargasm… whichever band it mayb…cuz in our respective genres we all represent d music scene in of d respective cities where v cum from….we all love rock..we all love music(any damn genre of music..)we all bands r workin hard 2wards making a difference by thinking beyond regular genres/bollywood music in sum or the other way…!!!

@Rohit Thank You for the apprectiation.We at TempoStand are really pleased by the wonderful response of the people that have come out to support the young and talented musicians in India, who have come out with such exquisite music.
As for the voting system we admit that its not fool proof but then every system comes with certain constraints,we will try to make it as fool proof as possible for the future versions.
This is just the start you will see a lot many activities here and many more events that will encourage the artists to come out with their best.Believe me our team working 7 days a week, 16 hrs a day to make this change happen, a change that will change the face of Indian Music and we need all your support!

.cz u ppl hd put a option to rank bands in whch u hd put a poll tht ne 1 can vote as many times rgt so ppl voted twice or thrice or may be number of times fr a band bt u ppl dndt count fr tht number…suppose fr an example if ther are 5 ppl surfin frm a single pc at a place so if they gonna vote fr a band thn is it thtu ppl gonna count only 1 vote if its within a minute…the voting count done by u sucks…..cz if its online voting u ppl shld count all of them cz u ppl are getting ur page hits the ppl voting r paying fr the net rgt……so as in my opinion u ppl dndt manage the competition well……
i do need an answer fr this thng…..y am i tellin ths to u cz 1 of de bands mst hv had a single ip address fr long cz it ws the bands coll ip address frm whr evry student hd voted fr thm cz they luv de music played by the band……….thts all i wntd u to knw….so u ppl dndt manage the event prprly………

@raj sinha: We have not ignored 5-7 votes cast from a computer, thats quite acceptable but in some cases it was just too bizarre to be ignored. In one case 55 votes were cast within 2 mins from a single ip. Now this we cannot ignore.
We understand your supporting a band, but we also have to make sure that the systems fair for all.
As far as your “you ppl are getting your hits” comment is concerned, well we’re more concerned about the quality of music we deliver than our hits.
