Twinkle Twister
“Twinkle Twister”…. a Children’s Day event for the grown ups!
UPDATE: The event is over. Click here for results.
The event was judged by Mr. Amit Trivedi. Mr. Trivedi is the Music Director of Aamir, one of the most innovative soundtracks of 2008 from Bollywood.

Sometime time back we asked our artists if they would wanna work on Nursery Rhymes. Crazy? True! But they gave us an overwhelming yes!
This was one competition that had uniqueness written all over it, and with the overwhelming number of entries we received, all we can say is wow! We bet you’d wanna sing them out loud, may be even dance to a few! We can imagine the kids saying ‘this isn’t what they taught us in school’!
After closing submissions for Twinkle Twister, people were asked to give their vote to the one they thought deserved to walk away with a prize money of Rs 10,000.
We have had a great run with all the events and competitions in the past, giving the listeners some of the best tracks on TempoStand. The TempoStand team designed this competition with the intention of generating not just quality compositions, but also a lot of fun tracks. The compositions we received had a lot of variety in terms of the genre and treatment of the original nursery rhyme. Every entry was individually analysed for its creativity, diversity and style.
Of the 48 entries received, the ones in the playlist below were shortlisted and were put up for public voting. Also Mr. Amit Trivedi (music director of ‘Aamir’) further judged these tracks and a weighted combination of both decided the winner.

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are….
Surprised? Well we so loved this one, didn’t we! A nursery rhyme that has been sung over and over again, but in the same monotonous tone. Even the kids need a change now. They need it fresh, they need it cool, and they need TempoStand artists to help them out. This Children’s Day, lets revise our nursery rhymes, play around with them and sing them all over again. The challenge lies in increasing its appeal, so even the adults would wanna sing out their long forgotten nursery rhymes, and may be tap a feet or two.
TempoStand invites you to remember those years of childhood fun. Lets relive them this Children’s Day with our favourite Nursery Rhymes. Who says they are only meant for the kids?!

Hello. This is a nice concept. But one thing. Should our composition be of he same tune as the original rhyme or of different tune?
[Reply]
Thanks Phalgunn! The tune/music has to be an original. Rule 1 has been redrafted to make that more clear.
Cheers!
