Our judge this time was Mr. Amit Trivedi, the Music Director of ‘Aamir’. We are grateful to Mr. Trivedi for sparing some of his valuable time to evaluate the compositions. This what he had to say:
“I was impressed by the talent, specially given the fact that most artists were relatively new on TempoStand. However, there is still a long way to go and there exists a wide scope for improvement in various aspects of song making. Most of you have the potential to do better, though that is easier said than done. Determination, hard work, passion and focus will take you a long way in accomplishing your goals.

Based on Mr. Trivedi’s ratings, and listener feedback in terms of votes, the final result was generated using a weighted average model in a ratio of 60:40 respectively. He had lost all faith, but then someone told him of TempoStand, and that changed his life!

Hey! Great songs.. I really enjoyed while listening to ‘em. yankee doodle by Mrinalini is the one for me.But everybody is appreciating Dil Bechara which is a good song indeed but this deviated from the theme.Thats my opinion thatz it.

yankee doodle by Mrinalini…sounds good…especially the shehnai bit and her voice….I liked Dil Bechara a lot ….I don’t think i agree with vijay that the song has deviated from the theme…the lyrics in the song indicate the lines in the rhyme and a touch of romanticism has been added to the song to make it sound contemporary…

i dont dil bechara has deviated from the theme. its based on the rhyme “Chubby Cheeks Dimple Chin”, and the artist has basically used the theme of the rhyme.
Anyways the competition is going to be good !

Mrinal’s Yankee Doodle is superbly sung, very lively. If you are tempted to sing too, then try once and see for yourself what I am saying!! Dil Bechara has very good rhythm, but the singing is not a “wow”. The rest are no where near.

Out of all the entries, Mrinalini’s is the only one that is original n sticking to the theme completely. Perfect for kids and enjoyable for others too.Dil bechara’s a great song but too adult sounding, especially when the love lyrics kick in. Old mac donald as arun pointed out sounds like the original a bit. My 2 cents :) Kudos to all the composers for their effort!

Thanks & congrats to u too! minor correction..I used nadaswaram not shenai, the south indian equivalent of it.Nice to know ur dad liked it :) u guys did a great job too, especially on the grooves.Do leave behind ur mail id so that we can stay in touch. All the best for ur future projects..
