TempoStand turns 2!

It feels like we are dreaming. TempoStand, our baby, started with a handful of artists and a few songs has now grown up into something that has become synonymous with Independent music in India. And along the way we have had one rocking journey.
TempoStand has always been about promoting creativity and originality. And all through we strive to find innovative ways to do this. Our online events found a new rhythm this year, as we encouraged artists to compose originals on a variety of themes. While, Rhythm Valentine and Maa Tujhe Salaam were on themes of love and patriotism, Twinkle Twister and Neat Whisky, Dirty Socks were innovative, experimental themes. Not only have the online events served as a platform for competing against the best, but guidance from esteemed judges which included the likes of Palash Sen and Amit Trivedi, among others, has helped our artists refine their skills further. On the technology front we released our first third party application TempoTrax which can be used to distribute new music on Orkut. We also launched TempoStand’s sister portal TempoPoets, a step further towards our dream of becoming the true Republic of Creativity. And then a lot has been happening behind the scenes, Musical Expressions (hush hush 
)
But having said this, we know that a lot remains to be done. So, as we enter a new year in our journey we have set loftier aims for ourselves. You will see a brand new design very soon. With this we will introduce some new ‘meaningful’ features on the site. You will also see some new events launched this year. Besides we continue to develop new tools and incorporate better technology.
We take this opportunity to thank all the artists who have been a part of this journey. So far it has been a great one. And it has only just started. Together, we have a long way to go.
