Independent Music Chart (IMC v 1.0)
Its been 4 months and we have enjoyed discovering music a lot. More encouraging has been the acceptance of creative commons philosophy amongst the immensely talented indendent musicians of our country. Your constant encouragement to the artists keeps them going and everytime a person discovers the independent music world from our site, it gives us satisfaction beyond compare.
So here’s what we are going to do now, we have compiled a list of top 10 most heard songs on TempoStand for the past four months. We are calling it the Independent Music Chart (IMC v1.0), we aim to update this chart monthly (or may be we’ll just do it daily!). Just so you know, IMC is your property, we do not have a panel of fifteen people who meet once a week in a conference room and decide on who’s on top. Like someone once said, fifteen people in a room is just twenty cups of coffees and some biscuits.
IMC is you telling us who’s high on the tempo!

1. On the top of the chart is Sifar. It is by far the most played song on TempoStand.

2. Second in the list is the beautiful thumri, Tanha Tanha, from the album Lights.

3. Third is the mesmerizing Ablaze which was the top song on TempoStand for four consecutive weeks.

4. Deshi Salsa, which is broadly being commented as the best fusion piece of music on TempoStand is on number four.

5. Sankalp’s Hope is on number five.

6. Awarapan, which is less than a fortnight old is already competing against the songs which have been on tempostand since the last four months. This song will soon overtake all.

Hey a lovely way to tell which songs are ruling out there.. a very well thought plan..
By the ways ujjwal i think you should also put up an artists page where by instant click we can go to the artists biodata… you see you already have it but with only the new artists not the new ones..
The old ones seem to have disappeared..

i’ve been literally forced to check out your site by a friend of mine. n am i glad i did so! fab collection of songs…the wide variety of songs on offer is a treat for all music lovers. If you are interested in contacting bands from north-east india..esp from shillong etc..contact satyakee Dcom bhuyan. Hey guys!! Well time for some positive criticism, being a regular visitor I find the site is really great with some great original music on it and its getting better too. But I have noticed a few inconsistencies that I wish to point to so that they could be improved. Take for instance the “most popular list”. Its really a miracle how any song in a flash holds the top position in it, remains on top for long and then with some other magic it suddenly disappears right from the top to nowhere ‘no ascending-descending phenomenon’.
Likewise the Imc vol-1 has not moved an inch in last 3 months as if nothing is happening no matter what is listened what is not, this is discouraging for the fans as their favorite music is not positioned the way they are responding to it this makes the site a bit static, not interactive and is not certainly rewarding for the fans as well as the artistes. I hope my suggestions would help you guys to see the site from the people’s perspective and make app changes to make it more interactive and lively, in this age where people’s choice make stars…

well gaurav i too agree with what viral has pointed out and i want to go a step further to suggest u to make the imc a feature of tempostand home page and update it frequently..so that it is right there and show which songs are really making their mark and just forcing people to listen to them again..it would be more democratic if u could show to us listeners how many times each song has been hit..in short make it more lively..and transparent too
