First Album: LIGHTS
Within 45 days of its launch, TempoStand announces the release of its first Album - Lights.
Featuring 8 artists from Ahmedabad, Light’s music is categorized under classical, semi classical, folk, fusion, instrumental, jugalbandi, light classical and sugam sangeet.
You can listen to them below. The links take you to the individual pages of these compilations maintained by the artists themselves. You can also read an interview with the voice behind the beautiful compositions in the album, Matang Bhai Parikh here
Before you do that, just a few updates.
There’s plenty of other stuff we have managed to add on the site. There are a few other bands and solo artists whose works are on the site. You can follow the link ‘Music’ on the top to browse through them or follow the categories to explore the various genres of music we have. The ‘News and Reviews’ will have reviews, news, and interviews from the Indie Music scene across India.
Our ‘Blog’ will keep you updated on the latest happenings inside TempoStand as well as share with you some of our wild ideas on digital music. The ‘Learn-Music’ section is for people interested in learning music and sharing their knowledge of music. Everything on this site is CC BY-SA, so everything you create is always attributed to you.

Kudos to the tempostand team. Folks, is there any way to get your songs on the internet radio or the actual radio stations? I mean these people need something to play for so many hours and something from the open domain should be welcomed by them.

Its a great idea and all the best for your success.
I have heard a few songs and they are quite good. But I faced one problem, I am not sure for the reason of it. This i observed while listening to the song # Drum Harmonium Fusion (Jugalbandi). When i started the song it was working fine but when i was wotking on some other page(other than the tempostand page) the songs stopped playing. The same thing is happening when I have played this song and writing this comment. Have a look into it.

1 reason i think it shud b thr is that while buffering…instead of listening to it bit by bit…i shud b able to mute it and listen to it when buffering is over..

The idea of Tempostand sounds great to me…I think it is a golden opportunity for budding musicians to use this….now you don’t need to leave a safe job in say a small town and go all the way to Bombay for example and struggle to get a record deal….tempostand is the way to go and all you need is internet access…that’s truly music beyond borders….i guess i am sounding a little excited….because I truly am..having said that the success of tempostand depends on the quality of music which is going to come from the people ….you guys have given a platform and it is in our interest to use it and popularize it for ‘our’ own success…and as an offshoot if the site does well, it’s good for you guys too…i like the whole ‘everyone wins’ scheme of the site…take care
