PRINCESS FOR LIFE

COMPOSED AND WRITTEN BY AAKARSHAN

Description of “Princess for Life”:
Princess for Life is actually a
true story. The song was written for a close friend of our’s.
Thanks to the girl who brought about the creative thoughts in us.
And may they live happily together :-)

LYRICS:

The first time I saw you,
That beautiful face,
You had all of my attention….

Oh! that yellow dress,
And the spark in your eyes,
Gave me, a new high….

And then came THE day,
Be mine i said,
In the heat of the moment I made you mine.
Remembering that day,
Takes my breath away,
Since you’ve entered my life, it’s never been the same….no-oh!

CHORUS:
Baby I love you, you know that it’s true,
Baby I love you, and I’ll be there for you.
Standing by your side,
In darkness and in light.
You are and will be,
MY PRINCESS FOR LIFE.

Waiting at the bus stop,
I wished it never came,
So that the moment would stay.

The time spent without you,
Drives me insane,
Since you’re the one, that helps me remain….

CHORUS:

GUITAR SOLO:

We’ve had our tides,
We’ve had our fights,
Whatever time throws at us,
We take it in our stride,
So what if I, fall short of words….

CHORUS:

Baby I love you, you know that it’s true,
Baby I love you, and I’ll be there for you.
Standing by your side,
In darkness and in light.
You are and will be,
MY PRINCESS FOR LIFE.

Waiting at the bus stop,
I wished it never came,
So that the moment would stay.

The time spent without you,
Drives me insane,
Since you’re the one, that helps me remain….

CHORUS:

GUITAR SOLO:

We’ve had our tides,
We’ve had our fights,
Whatever time throws at us,
We take it in our stride,
So what if I, fall short of words….

  28. Seriously, you call this music?
The lyrics are a plain rhyme scheme. The intro is so cliched. The only good part was maybe the solo. An un-plugged version of this could have been so much better, just acoustic… I mean, what IS this?

    Sahil Sharma Reply:

@Shruti Naik, Thank you Shruti. It is people like you that push us to do better. Yes the song has a very old feel to it and thats what we wanted to potray, an 80’s blues based song. As far as your complaint with our lyrics go… No offence to our fellow artists, do check out the other songs.
We just aim at being different… Do hear our other songs (There is everything but convention)… No hard feelings but there is a very “Sorry Bhai” kinda situation when it comes to making a difference in our “Music” industry. I ask you Ms Naik… what IS this?

    Shaken but not stirred,

  29. @ The shaken Mr Sharma.
Firstly, your attempt in implying that our “Music” industry is going towards what you’ve potrayed to us [Princess of/for life], is blasphemous. Clearly, you haven’t been in contact with the latest desi music eh? ‘Cause if you have, you’d see, much in accordance with many others like me, that our “Music” industry has improved, and the “Sorry bhai” attitude is more applicable to our Bollywood flicks than numbers.
And you ask me what this is? This is just another band trying to make it big.
Go on, fill in me in with more of your conventional music. I’d want to see how you’re trying to ‘make a difference’.

    Disappointed and unconvinced.
    Shruti Naik

PS: And no hard feelings by my side likewise. People/tastes/preferences differ.

@Shruti Naik, We aren’t here to create or replicate “DESI” Music. What works here doesn’t make a difference to us. There exist Great Musicians like Clapton, Lennon, Knopfler who create “cliched rhyming songs”.

    Sahil Sharma Reply:

Dear Shruti, I was and still am not trying to put you down. Although your claim on me not being in touch with “Desi” music has left me bemused. You see Shruti, there is a difference between “Indie” and “Desi” music. The term or more popularly the genre “Indie” is an abbreviation of “Independent Music”
Isn’t that the whole point out here? Promoting “Indie” music?
Anyway Shruti, thank you for your valuable feedback. We love to keep our fans close and critcs closer.
    Light,
    Sahil Sharma

I came across this song last night; “Holy Mother” By Eric Clapton. Its highly recommended for you from me. You should really listen to such stuff. Simple, melodious stuff. And if you happen to read this, you’ll think why am I amswering back now?! Its because when I heard this song, all I could think of was this. Anyways…
