wonderful lyrics da arun… song tune is more regional… I would say english song sung in a tamil tune… you could have added some guitar and drums to it to make it class apart.. I have no comments on lyrics… its splendid… i can see your love oozing out on your girl D****A

The background score is very good, however just a small note, whenever you sing something in English (given the genre) – you might want to modify your accent a bit! Singing English songs with a heavily loaded Indian accent sometimes might not be the best! Otherwise the music aspect of the song is pretty good!

Hi guys!! I noticed some people who have suggested that the singer ought to have sung in an American accent. What the h***?? This is an Indian contest only right? Not an American contest last I checked.. So why should the singer sing with an American accent? what’s wrong with an Indian singing with “Indianness” in his voice or with an “Indian” accent? why should an indian fake an american accent?? dint people listen to A.R.Rahman’s “pray for me brother” which ARR sung with a nice indian accent??? WAKE UP GUYS!!! BE PROUD OF BEING AN INDIAN… AND EVERYTHING ABOUT INDIA!! even if you cant appreciate people who are being themselves and original, try not to pull them down with such comments!!!!
P.S:- I am not trying to offend anyone here. This is my opinion. Thats all

if this song had an ‘indian’ – classical or even a fusion feel to it, yes indian accent is more than enough, except that it does not, it has a western feel to the song, so the song would just sound better if the gap between the music and deliverance is made appropriate. Trust me, no one is putting any culture down, but if you notice people singing english songs, there is a western accent.
I’d suggest to not take things ‘personally’ and look at it rather ‘professionally’!
P.S Rahmans song has a hint of western accent!

Excellent score. Music is neat. Lyrics are good.
But, I agree with Sindhuja.
Just imagine blue or BSB singing this! It would in anyway hit the charts. The accent does matter. How would you like britney / madonna / katy perry singing a song originally sung in Hindi by Lata or Sunidhi in their own accent?
Some off pitches here and there were a bit annoying, just as the uh oh at times. Some more innovations on programming the vocals, may be vocoding the certain verse portion, could have been dramatically aspiring even for Indian accent.
Overall, the song is outstanding in terms of arrangements and use of samples. Overall mix could have been better. Accent degrades vocals to an extent. Innovation could have reached some new heights.
If I had to rate, I’d give 80/100 considering all the aspects.

Speaking about the accent and english here… I go with Sindhuja Sankaran.
Just to let you know, Its English guys and not Hinglish oor tanglish.. It has to be spoken like it english… No Indian accent to it whatso ever…
and We are not here to fight and to appreciate the work of these two lads… they have done a great job and you got to appreciate that..
