Truth or lies- who knows…?

Cloven hooves in antipodal walk-
Going where- who knows…?

Crossed eyes in nystagmic dance-
Looking where- who knows…?

Tantalising temptations
Vanishing at a breath;

Mirages of passion’s feast
Vapourising in a sigh;

-Figment of one’s imagination
With no fig leaf
Its shame to hide.

No Adam
No Eve
In this Garden of Eden,
Only the Tree of Lies
With slithering serpents
Among its winking leaves;
No beautiful red apple
Inviting you to a bite-
Just a wrinkled, rotting core
Of a betrayed, broken heart,
Cast off, Spat out,
By the God of False Love.
