Maa Tujhe Salaam.

Good to have you here but first see the final results here.

Just a few more minutes to go, before we declare the final winner. For now read the interview with Palash Sen below or listen to some of the selected entries we received (in no order) .

Interview with Palash Sen:

-Your Take on the future of Indian Independent Music.
Palash: Frankly speaking the situation is very grim. Competing with Bollywood is a challenge in itself, and its nearly impossible for individuals to compete with the big budget movies. There are no financiers available for independent musicians, and so consumers are almost always hooked to music from movies, the good talent never filters to the consumer. However there is no dearth of talent in India, initiatives like TempoStand provide a platform to artists to showcase their work to a larger audience. People are looking for something fresh and different. The Independent music scene would require more events like this.

-Your views on the event “Ma Tujhe Salaam”
Palash: I think its a much better medium. I enjoy doing such stuff, its more real than reality shows as the reality shows simply boil down to melodrama, where as we get to see real talent here. And its really good that you are doing something towards patriotism, and that people are taking part in such an initiative.

interview contd.

-A short Message for upcoming artists
Palash: Well, i think if we have faith in ourselves and are true to our music something good will surely happen. If more and more people get involved in this movement we can really pull it off. I always believe that “If You Will, It will Happen”,

  12. Very nice job done to give us a base to form a bright future as composer. Cash prize is not an importance to us but the chance to get our composition to be judged by Mr. Palash Sen is the great motivation. We have just uploaded our composition “JUNOON” lyrics is by our friend Navin Mishra and Vikash Dalmia for this competition.
