I believe that my guitar is a tool taking me on a journey of musical expression. Ever since my childhood, I was fascinated by music. I started learning the Mridangam (a form of Indian drums) when I was six years old, which I eventually continued till I was 13.
As I entered my late teens, I was attracted to the Electric guitar, inspired by a lot of Rock and Metal and teenage angst? :P This fascination led to a passion for the instrument, and I started teaching myself the guitar. I progressed relatively fast on the instrument while deriving from the greats, until I reached a point when I could write original material with considerable ease.
This ability to write, sparked a burning desire to compose an instrumental work before I turned 21. With some of the first few songs being very popular among friends circles, I was constantly pushed by the people around me, who reminded me that talent is useless unless recognized. After overcoming much laziness, I gave in. 'Transcend’ was born from an inner drive to make a powerful musical statement.
