About
‘Jamgully’, is a 6 piece, Bangalore based band. It all started with concept of a place where music enthusiast can meet, share and compose music and the concept was named ‘Jam-gully’ during the course of time our music and sound evolved ,which is a unique blend of Indian & western classical Violin and Rock music and we call it ‘Raga Rock’. To get the ball rolling we rehearsed as a band firstly to find our way and then to started to cultivate the ‘Jamgully’ idea. Starting with ‘Saiyaan and durr kahin’(own Compositions)
Band are now founder members Sampath (Lead Guitars), Madhur (Percussions) along with the Vikas(vocals) ,Naresh and Manjunath on violin. Each member brings in a different flavor to our music, with Sampath as the back bone (music, lyrics and guitar). Madhur with his easy and simple approach to Drumming with lot of off beat in it. Naresh and Manjunath are both classically trained violinist bringing in the flavor of Indian and western classical music to the band, un-doubt ably the most talented duo together. And Vikas, who heads the band with his powerful singing voice and a stage presence you just can’t ignore.
