    Artillerie is a five piece Thrash/Metalcore band from New Delhi. Originally formed in 2004, the band was active under the name Artillery before being christened with the name it has now. Since inception, band has seen its share of evolution in terms of line up changes, sound, and statement.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     "New Offensive”, the band’s first EP, includes four songs that they have written recently. The tracks are called Retrospect in Red, Blind Pharisee, Song of the Trodden, and New Offensive.The band’s idea of writing music is to create music which is relevant for the generation today. Most of their songs are written from a first person perspective and usually deal with contemporary issues at a personal and societal level affecting people of the world today.                                                                                                                           Brief History -In its earlier set up, with Luke on vocals, Raul and Rajdeep on guitars , and Samrat on drums , sans the luxury of a permanent bass player, the idea of growing musically and as performers was a distant dream plagued by irregular jams, musical differences, lack of perspectives, and focus. The band was however, able to record a single called “Bombs Away”, utilizing a 7-hour studio time which it had won as a first prize during the National Level Rock Competition at IIT, Roorkee in 2004. The band consecutively performed at a few college competitions and fests, and soon after came to an end within one and a half years of its inception.While Rajdeep had left for the UK, Luke returned to New Delhi after a break, and was soon solicited by Raul to consider continuing the band. Raul had already been prospecting for new members, and together they formed a line up with Alvin Jose on Rhythm Guitars, Deepak (ex-After Dark) on Drums, and Raj Das on Bass. This time however, the band spent a considerable amount of time in introspecting and focusing carefully on the kind of music they wished to make and to what purpose. Even the name of the band underwent a change, and went for a German variant of its spelling i.e. Artillerie. After a while Deepak had to leave to consider some family commitments, which made way for Punti (ex-HollowCaust) to join in as their new drummer. Now armed with a new line up and a brand new zeal, Artillerie intends to increase its presence in the circuit, and lend itself to the cause of creating music which is relevant to its listeners.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Line Up -The current line-up includes Luke on Vocals, Raul Belgard and Alvin Jose on Guitars, Raj Das on Bass, and Punti on Drums. Their EP “New Offensive” however featured Deepak Kumar (ex- After Dark) on the Drums
