Passion, vigor and fervor are just some of the words that describe this versatile band called ‘YUG’. Belonging to the Hindi-Sufi-pop-rock genre, YUG was created with much enthusiasm in October 2008 and is still as energetic.
Four talented people with the ardent love for music make up the band.
Manav on the Lead Vocals has been singing for quite some time now and he’s also a rhythm guitarist. He has been much instrumental in the inception of the band.He is the most experienced band member.
Mandeep, on the Rhythm and Lead Guitar believe in giving his all to every music composition that emanates from his guitar. He has a keen sense for recognizing and choosing good music for the band.
Ankur as the Drummer has also left no stones unturned in striving for the best in whatever he plays. His dedication to the band makes him a much cherished member. He did qualify for MTV ROCKON and stayed there up to 3 rounds.He also teaches drum in Fender School of Music, South ex.
Sonic on the Bass Guitar has been the soul of the band, giving almost every fiber in his being for the love of music and his guitar. He teaches bass in Asha School of Music, Vasant Kunj. He is also a student of BRENNON DENFER (one of the most renowned bassist in India)
Great co-ordination and presence of mind lets the band take easy detours from their original plans if the need arises, and come out as heroes at the end of the day.
Something that sets this band apart from the usual throng of singers and players coming together is its open mindedness and its ability to accept and incorporate any criticism that comes its way.
With the kind of spectrum of music they cover, they hope to soon weave their way into many a heart.
