Kastadyne is basically the writer-composer duo of Sheldon Fonseca and Tejas Narayan (TJ). Sheldon is the lead vocal and lyricist and TJ is the bassist and composer on their album. The band works out of Tejas's professional studio lovingly nicknamed, Studio B.
For the past 4 years, Kastadyne has been searching for their unique sound. Their debut album was a direct result of their searching.
Kastadyne's Eleven Complaints CD is on sale at Planet M stores and also at MusicYogi. Kastadyne is already back in Studio B working on their second album.
The album, called Eleven Complaints, got a lot of critical acclaim. The word on the street is that Kastadyne is an 'original', 'new-age' and 'un-metal' band. The first song of the album, Victim of my Anger, was ranked at no.1 on http://www.soundclick.com soundclick.com out of 113,000 songs world-wide in the alternative rock category. Apart from a huge album launch they were also interviewed on Radio City, Radio Mirchi, Rainbow FM with Mihir Joshi, Indian Express, Mid-Day Metro and shortly on RAVE Magazine. One of the hidden secrets behind the success of the album was the fact that it was mastered in Germany by a company called XARC, which masters music from all around the world.
When Kastadyne plays live shows, they take on the help of drummer, Vaibhav Wavikar and lead guitarist, Lavkik Gangurde. Kastadyne has also composed a song for an online game, Dance Mela. Backed by popular demand, the band has just finished the video for Victim of my Anger.
