    The band Camouflage was formed on the 4th of January,2005 with some school friends who were interested in and practiced music. The 1st performance of the band was at IIT-KGP where the band fared pretty well considering it was only 15 days old and without a vocalist.The band was completed in June of that year, and immediately the band saw some success . On the Way: It entered the finals of Boom-Bass-Stick, a professional competition, organized by The Park and The Telegraph. Camouflage gave a pretty tough competition and finished a close 3rd.Camouflage hasn't looked back since then. Campus Rock Idols (East Zone Runner up, All India Finalists'07), IIM-C(2nd position'07),(IIT-KGP finalist'07). BHU ,XIMB(bhubaneswar)etc are also some competitions that they have taken part in. The band currently is regularly playing at Some Place Else (The Park), Princeton Club (Merlin Group)and are much sort after because of their original compositions which are becoming quite popular among the young calcutta crowd. Recent highlights: 1. Joint 1st prize winners along with (blood and iron) from chennai at the just concluded IIM-calcutta fest '08 Armageddon . 2. 1st prize winners at iit-kgp springfest '08 And Also: The band also performed at places like Barista (Acoustic show on World Music Day), Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Saturday Club, CSC, CC&FC, Swabhumi, Hyatt Regency and various other college shows, etc.in and around kolkata. Camouflage is highly influenced by bands like Cold Play, U2, Maroon 5, Wallflowers, Keane etc. The band calls its genre "Modern Alt". Having made inroads in the Calcutta rock circuit the band is ready to take on INDIA with their sound.
